Luna
Luna is the most outgoing of our females! Eager to meet new people and spread the love, Luna is always first to welcome a guest to our home! She LOVES playtime and all toys and is especially fond of playing in our little pools and with the hose! She is definitely a water dog! Luna earned her International Championship Title at the November 2018 IABCA Competition. We are so proud of her and how well she performed during her appearance in the ring.

Luna has delivered her babies! She actually experienced some complications during her birth and lost half of her litter. But we have 5 beautiful babies (3 girls and 2 boys) that we absolutely adore and she is loving on. Luna herself is doing well after her c-section and we decided that, instead of this being her second to last litter, this will be her last litter and we will get her fixed once her babies are weaned. We plan to soak up every second of these last Luna babies!!

Week Seven
03/09/23
I can't believe we are in the home stretch! Luna's pups are ready for their new homes! They have their vet visit this week and then almost everyone has scheduled for their pickups. We are so sad to see them go, but super excited for everyone who gets to bring their babies home. Luna has her appointment to be spayed on the 24th and it has been so bittersweet watching her beg to be with her babies while we weaned this last week. We can't wait to see how they grow up and love on their new families!

Temperament Testing

Here are Luna's pups temperament tests! We did them super late last night, so we were exhausted and so were the babies, but it still went well!
As I've mentioned to a few families, I do these temperament tests a bit tongue in cheek. This was designed specifically for working breeds (particularly German Shepherds) who have a wide range of temperaments, whereas Goldens really do not. The Golden's are known for their outstanding personalities and how they are loyal, sweet, and loving. We've never had a pup fail a temperament test and I do not think we ever will. While you can definitely see slight differences in the way the pups respond to the different actions, none of them vary greatly in the way they behave as a well developed puppy and it really is impossible to pick a bad puppy.

Choosing Day is coming up so soon! Joe is home this week, thank goodness, so we hope to get temperament testing up on Thursday. I will be reaching out to everyone to set up times to visit or call for Choosing Day! Enjoy these cute little faces!

Week Four
02/17/21
Despite the fact that pictures were taken this weekend, it's taken me a couple days to edit and upload them, just from sheer exhaustion. But the puppies are doing amazing! They absolutely love the kids and playing and have really started going to town with their food. Luna is taking bigger breaks from them now and its going to be bittersweet as her last few weeks with her last babies go by. Enjoy these sweet photos of them and their first individual photos! Joe names them after apple varieties and I honestly think that was super adorable!

Week Three

Hello friends! I am so sorry a week two update never happened. We've had some unexpected complications with *my* pregnancy and I spent some time in the ER and hospital last week. Baby and I seem to be ok and we may seek out a specialist for additional answers. Additionally, Joe is deployed out of state for February, so we have a lot going on.
All this to say, the puppies have still been receiving excellent care from family members throughout t I am back home now and hoping to stay. Luna is loving on these babies and they are chunking up so fast! They are now beginning to try to walk, have tasted mama's food, and should start playing with each other this week! Next week they will get name collars and individual photos, which will be posted on Saturday, since Joe gets to come home that weekend and can help me. Please enjoy this week's photos!!!

Hello all! Finally getting this update on the blog! Just wanted to let you know that I am pregnant (almost 12 weeks) and have been very, very sick, so I apologize if a few updates are late. Trying to keep up with 3 toddlers and life all at the same time!
Anyways, these babies are doing SO WELL! Luna is feeding them pure cream and they have more than doubled in size! They are doing their ENS (early neurological stimulation) and thriving. They are starting to motor around the whelping pen and have the tiniest, cutest baby barks! Luna is still doing very well and loves cuddling her sweethearts.

As I shared above, Luna had some complications during her delivery this time and we ended up having our first c-section with her. Although we did lose half her litter, she still has 5 beautiful babies to love and they are doing wonderfully! She is recovering well and hasn't had any post surgery complications. She has been doting on her babies and it's bitter sweet watching her love on her last little pups. We will all be soaking up these last Luna babies for the next 8 weeks.
